The grandniece of Jed Bartlet, Kelsey Bartlet is a lucky girl. Her young mother, April Bartlet gave her up for adoption after falling off her wagon with drugs and alcohol. After cleaning up her act, her mother
regained custody of her. The both of them have found a home with her Granduncle's family. She's the apple of Jed's
eye at not-quite two-years old and is close to her cousins: Zoey and LJ. She's also recently come to the delighted attention of the West Wing Staff.
